Story Introduction
Luciana's Story
Never give up on your dreams and always believe in yourself!
Travelling abroad to improve my English was a dream I had since I was 10 years old, which was when I started to study English as a second language. When I came to Canada I had so many fears, but the biggest one was not to have a good enough level of English to be accepted at one of the Canadian Colleges or Universities or to get a job in my field of study. It has been 12 years since I arrived in this land and decided to make it my home, and in these 12 years I’ve managed to pursue a Diploma and a Master's Degree, in addition of getting several job opportunities that helped me to become a better professional in my field of study. I have also started my PhD in Education at a public Canadian institution which is also a huge accomplishment in my career.
That is why I always say, as difficult or impossible as your dreams seem, never give up on them or stop believing in your potential, because with your efforts and skills they will surely come true.
